Scooter-Carpool
1. Throughout my time in college, I have become good friends with many people and I cannot step onto campus without recognizing someone. As someone who drives a scooter, if i see someone walking, I will ask if they want to hop on the back for convenience. I enjoy being friendly and helping people out getting to where they need to be. I believe my business would affect my life immediately due to the amount of people that could benefit from it.
2. The service I am offering to students is essentially a carpool app where students ask for a ride to a certain destination and students who have scooters will tell them when and where to meet them and will give them a ride to their destination.
3. The service would be offered to college students within a certain radius of people who own scooters. All these customers have the same need of wanting cheap transportation whenever they want.
4. Customers will pay for this service because the employees are other college students can make a few bucks by just dropping off someone on the way to wherever you are going. Customers will also use it because the University of Florida campus is huge and having to rely on buses can make them late to classes and meetings.
5. This concept is different from other companies such as uber because it will be cheaper and is more convenient for customers and employees. The University of Florida has the most amount of scooters driven by college students in Florida and i think everyone could benefit from it.
Brian,
ReplyDeleteI like how simple yet innovative your idea is. Often I need to get across campus, yet my bus lets me off at Rawlings and it's a very far walk. I know other students are faced with this problem too. I think your service would be very effective, especially with a phone app like Uber. The only issue I see would be a safety issue and getting insured for others to ride on the scooter with you. Maybe a sidecart would cut down on the insurance rate. Anyway, overall it's a great concept!
